Academic Programs

Overview

The Heating Technology certificate provides graduates with foundation skills and experiences in the construction and maintenance of heating systems.  Heating technicians are in high demand and are important part of public health and safety.  Students will learn about tools and equipment, fabrication and testing, maintenance and repair and hydronic and residential heating systems.

As part of the program, students will also learn to read blueprints, apply math skills, and be ready to enter the field as apprentices.  Students will become familiar with tools and materials used in heating distribution.  Students will also utilize and study water pumps.
