Emphasis is placed on professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes integral to the nursing competencies of patient centered care, safety, and evidenced based practice. Concepts of therapeutic communication, health promotion, pharmacology, and nutrition are integrated throughout the course. Care of the client with endocrine, neurological, integumentary, gastrointestinal, renal, musculoskeletal, hematologic and acid base balance.
