Description

Industrial Wiring covers components for industrial electrical installations and operations. Students will learn to design and calculate electrical loads for an industrial application.

Topics to be Covered

1. Basic knowledge of threaded conduits and fittings.

2. The importance of grounding and bonding.

3. The selection and sizing of motors and transformers.

Learning Outcomes

1. Demonstrate electrical safety.

2. Identify National Electrical Code requirements.

3. Describe conduit types, conduit sizes, and conduit fittings.

4. Demonstrate how to cut, ream, and thread conduit.

5. Demonstrate how to operate a hydraulic bender.

6. Demonstrate bending conduit stubs, off-sets, three-bend saddles, four-bend saddles, and kick bend.

7. Perform all work in a professional and safe manner.

8. Demonstrate how to operate a conduit threading machine.
