HC 2120 Disease Conditions
Description
Disease Conditions introduces basic principles of disease and includes the study of disease by body system. The signs and symptoms, etiology, diagnosis, and treatment of each disease is explored; and prevention of disease is emphasized. Medical terminology and anatomy/physiology knowledge acquired in previous courses is applied.

1. Disease and disease-producing microorganisms
2. Body immunity, defenses and vaccines
3. Disease prevention
4. The signs and symptoms, etiology, diagnostic testing and treatment of common disease conditions of the following body systems: integumentary, musculoskeletal, nervous, sensory, endocrine, circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary and reproductive.
