Description

Foundations and Theories of Addictions will provide students with a deeper understanding of several models of practice in the substance use field. Includes an overview of transdisciplinary foundations of alcohol and drug counseling. Students will integrate various interventions, skills, and treatment modalities needed to design effective treatment interventions for working with these populations.

5. Recognize the etiology, symptoms, and treatment models of chemical addiction.
