Description

Ethics for Human Services Workers introduces students to how the principles of ethics apply in the human services field. Students will examine two main ethical theories, utilitarian and deontological, as they apply to questions of ethical practice in human services. Students will study the ethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence and justice. The focus will be on the application of these theories and principles to specific issues and cases. The course is designed for students intending to major in human services.
