Description
Drugs in Society explores the history of the use and abuse of consciousness-altering substances like alcohol and other drugs. Sociological theories will be reviewed in tandem with political-economic factors to identify social conditions. Cultural practices involving drugs will be identified, analyzed, and compared to related public problems.
