Academic Programs
Overview
The Community Health Worker (CHW) program prepares students for careers in healthcare, public health, social services, schools, nonprofit organizations, and community agencies. Community Health Workers are trusted frontline professionals who connect people with the services and resources they need to improve their health and quality of life. They provide culturally responsive education, advocacy, outreach, and support while helping individuals navigate health and social service systems. By building relationships and addressing barriers to care, CHWs play a vital role in promoting health equity and creating healthier, more resilient communities.
